A Hundred Thousand Steps

Over the first 5 weeks of marathon training, I’ve thus far spent 17 hours and 15 minutes travelling 81 miles on long runs.  There were also fourteen lung-searing miles at 5K – 10K speed.  I’m not counting the other running and cycling miles, because I would have done them anyway.

It’s hard to imagine how taking a hundred and ten thousand steps towards a goal fails to cement my investment in it.

Commitment issues?  Who, me?
